CIES announces the launch of the book Afroeuropeans: Identities, Racism, and Resistances, edited by Cristina Roldão, Raquel Lima, Pedro Varela, Otávio Raposo and Ana Raquel Matias, and published by Routledge, to be held on 1 October at 6 p.m. at the Clube Iscte Conhecimento e Inovação (Building 4, Iscte).

The volume brings together essential contributions to the study of Black identities in Europe, offering a critical examination of structural racism, processes of exclusion, and the various forms of resistance and cultural creation. It represents a publication that highlights the importance of understanding the historical and contemporary dynamics that shape the Afro-European experience.
