Pharmacist and Regulatory Affairs Specialist by the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society. Post-graduate studies in pharmacoeconomics (ISEG, Univ. of Lisbon) and health economics (Univ. of York). Master in Development (ISCTE-IUL), with a dissertation about the Participation of People Living with HIV/Aids in Public Health Policies. Currently, Public Policy PhD candidate (ISCTE-IUL), conducting policy and decision making processes analysis in the field of public pharmaceutical financing and public participation. Professionaly, after several years working in the pharmaceutical field, worked as health and pharmaceutical policy advisor to a Member of the Portuguese Parliament. (2010-2011). Since than, has been dedicated to research and participatory action-research projects, in the field of political activism for the rights of people living with disease.
